Politics being what they are, I doubt Obama will accept the offer. He won't want to look as if he is doing what the other candidate wants him to. McCain seems to be on the offensive though... let's hope they both find a way to lose.
hate to break it to you bud, but i can predict with certainty that one of them will win. i'll be disappointed if he doesn't accept because i think something like mccain is proposing is exactly what the "new politics" are about. damn the political maneuvering and strategizing. i think it would be good for both campaigns as well as the election.
